  1. OOC:

We've had one or two queries regarding the population demographics of New Moonbrook pertaining to racial makeup.

We'd like to stress that due to constraints with the NPC models cycling through a limited amount of options we only have a 'set' amount of models for the guards, and workers etc.

Please consider reading up on the 'New Moonbrook NPCs' section to find a more accurate breakdown of NPC racial makeup. This applies to CIVILIAN npcs however due to the guards models it is assumed that unless specified through named NPCs (such as Sgt Thorne) these NPCs are comprised of -ALL- Alliance races:

Gnomes, Dwarves, Humans (of varying kingdoms), Night Elves, High Elves, Worgen and Draenei.

If you have further questions regarding this, don't hesitate to PM the New Moonbrook account (this one)

  2. Some of the bounties appear to have had alterations made to them:

The bounty for Sir Reginald has had a line drawn through it and gone from '55' to '30'

The bounty for the eredar demoness has a line drawn through it and gone from '80' to '50'

Blackcreek's bounty has also had two lines drawn through it from '100' to '60' for his death and '150' to '110' for his capture.
These relevant bounties seem to have the same note attached to them:

    "By decree of Baron West

The bounties for 'Sir' Reginald, 'Lord' Blackcreek and the Eredar demoness have been reduced. This is in most part to these percieved threats having not presented a threat to New Moonbrook or generally to allies and friends thereof recently as such whilst the threat is present it is considered 'low' in the faction's priorities. Those seeking larger payouts for bounties should draw their attention to more recent bounties or check back from time to time."

    "Wanted Dead or Alive

Individual(s) responsible for the murder of the Zan'Watha embassy occupants, theft, and usage of dark magics.

Following a recent investigation after silence from the embassy, it was discovered by Baron West that the previous occupants of the Zan'Watha embassy had been seemingly assasinated by what is likely to have been a group effort before the embassy was robbed of all valuables and the remains of the trolls were desecrated then used in some unholy ritual which resulted in hostile abominations rising from the remains.

Whilst the threat has not been aimed at New Moonbrook or any of its inhabitants, this threat is on the settlement's doorstep and has targeted what was once a close ally to New Moonbrook and so this bounty serves as a preempative strike against those who would consider harm to the friendlier denizens of the Doldrums.

The individual(s) responsible are wanted on the following charges:

    • Murder
    • Desecration of corpses
    • Grand Theft
    • Use of forbidden magics*

As well as the above atrocities, a single letter has been found stating 'I am back' and signed by 'Heinrich's Bane'

Although this has incurred a significant amount of rage from Baron West, it is entirely possible that the perpetrator is utilizing this former knowledge of the warlock known as 'Heinrich's Bane' as a means to lead the investigation down a false path.

Those who are undertaking this bounty would do well to consult either Councillor Dothrel of Tordala or Priestess Emily of High Hearth as both have expressed experience and skill in dealing with unholy magics and come highly recommended by Baron West of New Moonbrook.

A large amount of supplies at the embassy were also stolen during this incident. This is a large amount of goods which cannot easily be hidden so those looking to investigate should see if any group(s) or other individuals have acquired a large supply of Troll goods as of late.

The Baron is intending to cordon off the Zan'Watha embassy until the threat is secured. This area will be an active crime scene and only those who are assisting in the investigations may be allowed access to the settlement. Those wishing for access should speak with Baron West directly.

A sum of 100 gold pieces is offered for the head of the individual(s) responsible for the slaughter of the Zan'Watha embassy occupants.

A sum of 150 gold pieces is offered for the capture of the individual(s) responsible for the slaughter of the Zan'Watha embassy occupants so that they may be executed publicly in Haven or New Moonbrook.

Additional gold is offered on a case-by-case basis for anyone who can provide additional information to Baron West which leads to the capture or execution of the culprits.

Alternative rewards can be made via prior arrangement with Baron West of New Moonbrook

*Baron West states that even though he is magically numb he was able to sense the strength of the dark magics used during this foul ritual which permeated the building. In addition the abominations appeared to he comprised of parts of the previous occupants of the embassy.

Those who ascertain the location of the murderer(s) should inform New Moonbrook post-haste prior to dealing with the threat(s) themselves as New Moonbrook will lend assistance with the bounty with no claim to it.

  4. New Moonbrook's Supply Sale

    cf21f01cd414f75491d292a87beb977a.jpg

    Where: Haven. West's Charcuterie (Marketplace)

    When: Wednesday 29th April, 20:00 server-time.

    Who: Anyone allowed into Haven

    Event Type: Trade

GM Assistance: No GM assistance required unless NPCs wish to visit to buy goods.

Along the middle-most 'tier' of Haven a flurry of activity brings the recently silent town to life.

Wagons laden with goods deposit their supplies adjacent to Baron West's charcuterie and start to assemble them into some sort of 'storage space'. When these workers are questioned by anyone passing by they continue working but talk at the same time.

"Wha's this? Oh, th' Baron's bringin' a load o' goods from New Moonbrook to sell to th' folks of the Doldrums."

When pressed further as to what goods are available, the workers happily respond:

"Oh, all sorts. Food, fabric, arms, armour, metals, gemstones, and more! Ought to pop by and give the stuff a gander yersel'!"

The peasant smiles and returns to unpacking crates and stockpiles of timber.

    OOC:

    Hi All

To help break the current monotany i'm going to host a small trading opportunity.

Its effectively a means to get shot of some of New Moonbrook's assorted materials in exchange for gold to pay for some more bounties that are due to go up as well as a few other overheads.

All sorts of gear is going to be available and not just resources.

    "Wanted Dead or Alive

    Lord Blackcreek

Wanted for assault upon Alliance soldiers, siezure of king's property and a litany of other crimes!

This false Lord is believed to be the one responsible for assaulting Haytham's Landing and ultimately the leader of all the bandit groups based upon Opej'nor and quite possibly others who have yet to be identified.

Lord Blackcreek (and by extention those who serve under him) are wanted on the following charges:

    • Murder
    • Attempted Murder
    • Membership of a Hostile Faction
    • Grand Theft
    • Treason
    • Inciting War
    • Waylaying
    • Usage of forbidden magics*

Lord Blackcreek has until now been considered elusive and an enigma with not even his name known to the denizens of the Doldrums however thanks to the efforts of a adventurers too many to list here, his name has been revealed and his intentions are slowly becoming unravelled.

It is worth noting to any who embark upon this bounty that Lord Blackcreek was seen leaving Haytham's Landing during the assault in which Corporal Osbert of New Moonbrook shot the bandit leader clean through the head and yet this individual seemed uneffected by such. Further to this arcanists who attempted to halt his boat's path found their icy barriers melted away which suggests that Lord Blackcreek is either a highly skilled arcanist himself or has one such individual under his employ. As of now it is assumed that Lord Blackcreek is in fact either a master illusionist or one of the undead and the bounty posted below reflects the perceived danger of this foe.

Those who wish to seek out Lord Blackcreek would do well to start with interrogating his own bandit comrades and working up their 'chain of command' until finding relevant information on him. The Bandit Insignias which can be handed in to Sergeant Thorne at New Moonbrook are believed to be the Lord's own personal insignia and he is believed to be a Lord of the northern kingdoms of Azeroth (likely Alterac) rather than that of Stormwind.

*During the assault on Haytham's Landing, what were believed to be New Moonbrook prisoners turned out to be dopplegangers of a magical nature. These creatures, when slain, appeared to decompose rapidly into a gooey black substance. One was also seen lighting an explosive device whilst in the presence of Lord Blackcreek's own men which suggests these creatures have -zero- self preservation instinct and an ability to impersonate whosoever they choose. An additional bounty will be posted regarding these foul creatures.

A sum of 100 60 gold pieces is offered for the bandit leader's head.

A sum of 150  110 gold pieces is offered if the bandit leader is brought back to New Moonbrook alive to face execution. Proof of it being the real Lord Blackcreek will be ascertained upon delivery.

Alternative rewards can be made via prior arrangement with Baron West of New Moonbrook

Those interested in undertaking this bounty are encouraged to inform Baron West as to the movements of this bandit leader as they will receive the full support of New Moonbrook in ridding the Doldrums of this pest.

  6. A short line is placed through the number '35' for the reward for Sir Reginald and has been replaced by the number '55' and a small note:

    "By decree of Baron West

The reward for Sir Reginald has increased by 20 gold pieces. This is following reports of a Sotoran warparty having accosted the Flamespire Clan in close proximity to New Moonbrook, the Sotoran threat is ever present and so this reward increase is to hopefully incentivise others to slay this wayward 'knight' - Baron West"

A poster slowly makes its way around the Doldrums town-by-town from the southern reaches of Opej'nor and the encampment of High Hearth to the settlement of Tordala upon the Isle of Menhirs:

    "Wanted Dead

    Unnamed demon sorceress

Wanted for numerous crimes including demonic possession of the beast known as the 'Tyrant Queen' upon Opej'nor

The location of this demon sorceress, intel informs New Moonbrook that the creature is known as an 'Eredar', is currently unknown. It is known that many factions upon these isles have had dealings or encounters with this being in one form or another. Following recent events it is believed that this sorceress is the one who commanded or was otherwise the 'master' of the Dwarvern Warlock known as 'Heinrich's Bane'. The reward offered reflects the danger of this creature who is not to be taken lightly.

Currently the sorceress's death is sought after on the following charges:

    • Murder
    • High Treason
    • Inciting War
    • Magical Corruption of Wildlife
    • Abuse of forbidden magics

It is known that the people of Tordala have been particularly plagued by this creature and those seeking the demon's death may also wish to approach them to discuss a possible reward for it's head. Any information pertaining to the location and / or means of killing the creature should be relayed to Baron West with due haste. If this leads to the creature's death there may be an additional reward.

A sum of 80 50 gold pieces is offered for the Eredar's head following confirmation from a competant arcanist that aforementioned head is in fact not an illusion"

    Half a year

Half a year it has been since the founding of the fledgling settlement of New Moonbrook. Whilst the Orcs relocate to Haven, Drustgarde burns and strife seems to fill the land around them, the golden lion of Stormwind and the Grand Alliance endures.

It has not been an entirely smooth sailing so far and this missive in the annals of the settlement's history is somewhat of a 'recap' of events so far as well as highlighting some advances the settlement has made (these are by no means in chronological order)

No sooner had the news reached Baron West and the rest of New Moonbrook, a call to arms in the form of a poster was released to all settlements from High Hearth to Haven all the way to Tordala:

    Bounty has been partially claimed

Following an assault on Haytham's Landing the bandits were routed but the leader escaped. Those in attendance were paid their share of the 20 gold. A new bounty has gone up instead.

    "Wanted Dead or Alive

Leader of as-yet named bandit group which have assaulted Haytham's Landing upon Kolai.

Wanted for assault upon Alliance soldiers and siezure of king's property.

    These bandits have seemingly appeared from thin air and are currently believed to be unaffiliated with both the 'Rat Pack' and the unnamed bandit group operating in Eastern Opej'nor. Currently this group on Kolai are wanted on the following charges;

    • Grand Theft
    • Grievous Assault
    • Attempted Murder
    • Tresspass
    • Membership of a Hostile Faction

These bandits are responsible for chasing off the garrison stationed at Haytham's Landing and as of now it is considered occupied territory. The safety of those visiting Haytham's Landing cannot be guaranteed by Baron West at this time.

As well as the bounty on the leader of this band of knaves, Baron West welcomes any information as to the identity of this faction of bandits in addition to any clues as to how they may be brought down, those with the relevant details should speak to Baron West personally.

A sum of 15 gold pieces is offered for the bandit leader's head.

A sum of 20 gold pieces is offered if the bandit leader is brought back to New Moonbrook alive to face execution.

Alternative rewards can be made via prior arrangement with Baron West of New Moonbrook

Those interested in undertaking this bounty are encouraged to inform Baron West as to the movements of this bandit group and any attempts made to defeat, route or otherwise remove them from Haytham's Landing and / or capture / kill their leader.

Final reports from those who fled Haytham's Landing suggest approximately a dozen bandits who are surprisingly well armed and are not to be considered common brigands!

A collection of posters make their way around various settlements, this time though a few end up specifically around Tordala on public noticeboards

    "Information Wanted

Information sought on a magical firearm henceforth known as the 'Hellbane Rifle' supposedly responsible for the death of the warlock known as 'Heinrich's Bane'

Baron West has a desire to procure a firearm which, in the wrong hands, could be an extremely deadly weapon that could be employed against any of the settlements here in the Doldrums.

A reward of 20 gold is given to any information which leads to the magical weapon being recovered by New Moonbrook.

Those who bring the weapon itself to New Moonbrook will be rewarded the handsome sum of 50 gold pieces.

This is a deadly weapon which was capable of killing the aforementioned warlock in a single blast

It is expected that multiple individuals will be coming forth with an assortment of information, the reward will be granted upon retrival of the weapon to who offered the most u seful information in acquiring this weapon including (but not limited to)

    • Where the weapon resides
    • Who the owner is or who possesses it
    • Specifications of the weapon
    • The affiliation of the weapon's owner

Those with information regarding this bounty should seek Baron West directly.

A new glut of bounty posters appear to be doing 'the rounds'

    The poster itself reads:

    "Wanted Dead

Bandits found committing acts of rampant highway robbery, grievous bodily harm and murder along the Baron's Highway

These bandits, seemingly part of a well-oiled and prepared 'gang' have seemingly sprung out of nowhere to cause chaos in the eastern reaches of Opej'nor waylaying those who travel between the Wizard's Enclave, Grom'Goshar, New Moonbrook any many other settlements which is causing trade to stifle.

    • Multiple counts of Grand Theft
    • Multiple counts of Assault
    • Multiple counts of Grevious Assault
    • Multiple counts of Waylaying
    • Multiple counts of Attempted Murder
    • Multiple counts of Murder

These bandits can be found as far south as the 'Pond' previously known as 'The Sanctuary' and as far north as the road leading to New Moonbrook and Zan'Watha Embassy. They are in various numbers from small isolated bandits to larger and deadlier groups of three to five.

In addition to the bounty listed, Corporal Thorne of New Moonbrook has been tasked with ending this bandit threat. Should any individuals find useful information as to where these curs are handing, the Corporal has been tasked with rewarding those who provide such relevant information appropriately.

I have received information from those who have launched preliminary hunting parties for these bandits that they are not only armed with coshes and simple leather jerkins but a number of them seem to be semi-competant magi and a further number of them appear to be archers.

As a warning to those travelling, it is STRONGLY advised and recommended that you hire a bodyguard or mercenary if you intend to frequently travel the eastern regions of Opej'nor especially along the highway until such a time as this threat is neutralized. Men and women of fortune can be found frequenting the streets of Haven or the slum-settlement of Egtown.

As it currently stands, the rewards for the bounties are as follows:

Each  bandit ear brought to Corporal Thorne will be rewarded with 50 silver.
Those who have been hunting many bandits can turn these in at 5 at a time for 250 silver.
Anyone who finds the insignias that these curs sometimes possess can turn in two for an armour token, these can be redeemed for 'uncommon' equipment at the Haven blacksmiths.

Corporal Thorne will not be dealing with Horde races who are not allowed into New Moonbrook except under exceptional circumstances, therefore Horde adventurers wishing to claim the bounties should find an Alliance mediator willing to turn them in.

  12. The bounty notice for Heinrich's Bane appears to have had a new addition pinned to it at the various settlements it now seems to be visible at:

"To those still seeking to claim the bounty on Heinrich's Bane:

Reports have come in from the outpost Haytham's Landing on Kolai that a Warlock, possibly Heinrich's Bane, has assaulted the soldiers stationed at the outpost with a pack of imps and is believed to be employing powerful magics to confuse and spread fear.

As of writing this addendum, the bounty still stands and will be honored however it is noted that the target is to be considered EXTREMELY dangerous.

    - Baron West"

  13. x2CdpRJ.png

    Salutations all!

With New Moonbrook well underway to becoming a steadfast fortress-settlement it's somewhat time to look inwards to the settlement's slowly growing numbers of troops.

Having recovered men from both the shipwrecked vessel upon the Isle of Menhirs as well as rescuing captives from Sotoran frigates, there is a time more than any to establish some order in which the chain of command is followed.

Being a settlement which takes inspiration from the Alliance, the current list of Alliance military ranks (also known as PVP ranks) are the means by which the settlement will establish the chain of command. Simply put: the higher you are on the list, the higher you are in administering orders to the rest of the settlement.

As it currently stands the highest ranking position on the list is the ruler of the settlement (at the time of posting: Baron West) working its way down.

At this current moment in time the second highest authority in the settlement is that of Corporal Jeremy Thorne (marked in game as 'Alliance Corporal').

    https://wow.gamepedia.com/Alliance_Military_Ranks

Promotions up ranks will depend on a number of factors:

    1. Settlement size. We will shortly be implementing what settlement population size is required for each rank. If the settlement consists of 5 people it seems somewhat daft having a 'Grand Marshal' in command.
    2. Actions in-game. This applies to both players and NPCs. If an NPC guard goes above and beyond in the line of duty then they will be marked for a promotion. If they perform poorly they will be demoted. Same can occur to players.

As well as increase authority, promotions may also include factors such as nicer accomodation, a new suit of armour, a shiny new weapon or other perks such as increased pay.

Ranks for individuals will be marked in this thread either beside their player name or their NPC name (even if players are just civilians, they are considered 'privates' if drafted into a militia)

  14. bbSmTnf.png

The latest 'round' of bounty posters from New Moonbrook seem to depict a rather smartly shaven knight in black plate.

    The poster itself reads:

    "Wanted Dead

Sotoran false knight by the name of 'Sir Reginald'

Wanted for the kidnapping of multiple Alliance marines as well as open bombardment of Haven.

This false knight is responsible not only for kidnapping Alliance soldiers but also piracy, inciting war and affiliation with a faction openly practicing necromancy upon Alliance soldiers. The full list of charges by Baron Timothy West and the settlement of New Moonbrook are as follows:

    • Piracy
    • Inciting war
    • Performing necromancy upon Alliance soldiers
    • Kidnapping
    • Multiple counts of murder

This so-called 'knight' was last spotted fleeing Haven in a badly damaged frigate which had sustained cannon fire from New Moonbrook cannon crew. It is known that in the middle of the conflict his leg was blasted off making him a very distinct target for those who seek to claim this bounty.

Those with information pertaining to this false-knight's location should report this information to the leadership of Drustgarde, the Captain of Haven and Baron West of New Moonbrook.

As this villian is affiliated with Sotoras and has assaulted not only Alliance vessels but also the port of Haven, those claiming the reward for this bounty may also wish to consider approaching both Haven and Drustgarde for additional rewards for they also will likely wish for the demise of this individual.

Currently the false-knight's blasted leg is in the possession of the Elves of Tordala who are attempting to scry his location on behalf of the arcanist 'Elle', those seeking out where the pirate may be found should start with the Elves.

A sum of 35  55 30 gold pieces is offered for 'Sir' Reginald's head.

Additionally there is a substitute rewards for the following individuals:

'Sir' Alistair the Forsaken Death Knight.

    • Currently has an outstanding bounty on his head from Haven due to threats made against the settlement. Should he be the one to return with this head then although no promises made, Baron West will lobby on your behalf for the bounty on your head from Haven to be rescinded or substituted for a lesser punishment.

Priestess Emily of the Scarlet Crusade

    • Currently banned from entering New Moonbrook due to affiliations with the Scarlet Crusade. Should she be the one to return the false-knight's head then this will be considered sufficient proof of the intentions of the Scarlet Crusade within the Doldrums and it will be understood that their normally overzealous attitude to non-human races may have voided - the Scarlet Crusaders of High Hearth will be considered 'neutral' to New Moonbrook should they deliver the false-knight's head.

Arcanist 'Elle' of the Isle of Menhirs

    • Currently banned from entering New Moonbrook due to reckless usage of a magical artefact and attempting to arrest Baron West on a false charge of theft of aforementioned artefact. Should the arcanist be the one to return the false-knight's head then her ban from entry into New Moonbrook shall be rescinded."

  15. aeba6eded95697ec60c50a06aeb64200.jpg

A number of bounty posters are printed on a rather plain recycled parchment found commonly in the Doldrums, upon this one stands a fierce hooded looking Dwarvern woman in dark cultist-like robes with flaming incantations present. These letters make their way to major settlements but unusually for something marked with the Baron's signature it also appears in the city-ruin of Tordala.

    The poster itself reads:

    BOUNTY CLAIMED

Heinrich's Bane has been brought to New Moonbrook dead thanks to the efforts of Master Alistair Roux and a band of adventurers for 25 gold pieces.

Although legible, the rest of the poster text is scribbled out.

    "WANTED, DEAD OR ALIVE.

Warlock of unknown name hereby referred to as 'Heinrich's Bane'

Wanted for the murder of Captain Heinrich of the Alliance Combined Arms Brigade and an unnamed Kaldorei sentinel of the same aforementioned brigade.

This warlock was found responsible for the summoning of a demonic succubus which slew and took the form of Captain Heinrich of the Alliance before also slaying a member of the brigade, culprit is wanted on the following charges by Baron Timothy West and the settlement of New Moonbrook:

    • Impersonating an Alliance Captain
    • Magical influence over Alliance soldiers
    • Two counts of murder
    • High Treason
    • Falsifying documents
    • Inciting war

Alliance soldiers under the command of the Captain were found to have been enthralled by the demon until it was slain by heroic adventurers from Drustgarde and Tordala.

Upon the elimination of the demon, a warlock believed to be a Dwarvern Female was found escaping the scene using a hearthstone.

Those with information as to the location or whereabouts of Heinrich's Bane should report to Miss Mythglancer of Tordala, Governor Haytham of Drustgarde or Baron West of New Moonbrook.

It is currently known that this Warlock escaped justice from the scene of her crime via the usage of an Unstable Hearthstone. Although it has been some time since the incident, inquiring amongst the citizens of Haven may reveal her whereabouts.

A SUM OF 25 GOLD IS OFFERED FOR THE WARLOCK'S HEAD

A SUM OF 50 GOLD IS OFFERED FOR THE WARLOCK BROUGHT ALIVE, GAGGED, BOUND IN ANTI-MAGIC MANACLES AND DISARMED TO NEW MOONBROOK TO BE SUMMARILY EXECUTED"

More bounty posters appear, this time specifically only on the isle of Opej'nor once again on recycled parchment with an image of a rather cocky looking human bandit. As with others, this bears the signature of Baron West

    Bounty Cancelled

This poster has since weathered away and been taken down

    The poster reads:

    "WANTED, DEAD OR ALIVE.

Where: The Baron's Highway between Haven and New Moonbrook

    When: Wednesday 2nd October 19:30 server-time.

Who: Friends and allies of Haven / New Moonbrook

    Event Type: Social

GM Assistance: Brief (single object moving)

Following the initial discussion of the construction of what would be dubbed 'The Baron's Highway', it would seem that the first segment to be constructed would be between the settlement of New Moonbrook and Haven.

This track-way allowing wagons, carts and other means of transport not suited to the uneven jungle ground to move easily will now allow for ease of trade between the two settlements and later ones when the highway makes its way around Opej'nor.

As part of this, a ceremony is to be held with dignitaries from Haven and New Moonbrook to celebrate the completion of the first segment of the highway. The main element of this ceremony is to compose of the hammering of the 'final spike', a solid gold carpentry nail to signify the official opening of the highway and the symbolic connection between the neutral and alliance settlements.

Of course, no ceremony of this caliber is complete without alcohol, music, merriment and food! So an open invitation is expressed to all friends, allies and neutral trading partners of both New Moonbrook and Haven to attend the ceremony.

Salutations, citizens of New Moonbrook and Beyond!

As the lumber mill stands newly constructed and the sound of steel striking stone echoes from the mine we contemplate our next move in terms of production at the settlement.

It is somewhat of a personal vice of mine however it is quite clear that there is a demand out there for tobacco which is about as rare as hen's teeth as it washes up maybe once in a blue moon and as a result of this we have just finished construction on a somewhat modest farm immediately outside the main garrison of New Moonbrook dedicated to the growing and production of premium Opej'nor tobacco.

With other operations busy, the settlement is looking for a manager to run this Tobacco farm to roll in the savoury fragrance of Opej'nor tobacco leaves for those who desire them!

    Perks of the job include:

    • Full day-to-day authority of running the business in question.
    • Limited command over guards stationed in / around said businesses.
    • Free lodgings within the farmstead.

Following a discussion with the esteemed Baron of New Moonbrook, it would seem that due to the dissolution of the Leo-Lupus Pact that Corporal Jeremy Thorne and his entourage have returned to New Moonbrook along with their cannon.

The Corporal has made it clear to the Baron that he has no intention of being a petty law-enforcement officer, something which has been relegated to the New Moonbrook guards, but rather a soldier. And so he and his men have been positioned around the settlement's gates along with New Moonbrook guards who will enforce the settlement's laws whilst the Corporal and his men fight off any hostile forces which currently seem to consist of a large amount of arcane anomolies appearing from a rift on the north-eastern side of New Moonbrook

Those in or around the settlement would notice that the brigade's crimson cannon pointed directly towards the rift

  22. In the twilight hours of the previous night, the clansmen of the Flamespire Clan would observe the venerated clan elder and stand-in for Bloodfury: Gruk Charrbone as he walked towards the now looming Alliance fortress-settlement of New Moonbrook with but a single torch in his hand

    we5756ub5td11.png

Likewise from the other side of the engagement, a click of a safety catch being flicked on on would pierce the eerie silence from atop the Alliance garrison as one of the moons catches a glint off the Baron's rifle scope as he turned to greet the new arrival.

The guardsman, forever uneasy and still wary of the Orcs, would allow him to pass to meet with the Baron, it is all too clear that the two share some sort of burdened dislike of each other that overcomes even the animosity of the leo-lupus pact that they have met to discuss.

Hours would pass, one or two of the guardsmen in New Moonbrook would even find themselves patrolling closer to the garrison in order to eavesdrop but to no avail. Eventually the piercing ray of sunlight arose from the tall spires of Blackfinger almost iconically to herald the news that would follow these dark days of distrust.

As quietly as he arrived, so too did the red robed figure of the elder shaman depart from the settlement of stone and lion-blazoned banners only for the next day to start spreading news:

The news seemed to be delivered in a number of formats, more commonly was word of mouth through traders and merchants likely eager to resume trading between Haven and the members of the Leo-Lupus pact but also there were a number of small flyers distributed amongst the major settlements of Opej Nor written in both Orcish and Common:

    "To the denizens of Opej'nor.

After much deliberation and discussion with the two leading figures of the Leo-Lupus act, we have come to the decision that the pact be dissolved.

This is in due part to the heroic and quick-thinking actions of Matron Mel who selflessly came to the defence of both New Moonbrook and the Flamespire Clan with little to no regard for her own safety. Because of this members of the Pact and also Haven's town guard were able to effectively come together to dispatch a substantial force of arcane monstrosities which arose in the new market square.

As a result of the dissolution of the Leo-Lupus pact, the previous rules surrounding the pact shall be rescinded to result in the following:

    • Both parties to the pact will immediately open up all trade and co-operation insofar as they agree as individuals with the settlement of Haven. Members of Haven will be welcome into either the Flamespire Clan's hold or the settlement of New Moonbrook in accordance with both faction's laws. Unless in violation of aforementioned laws they are to be considered guests and treated as such.
    • Co-operation with any faction or organization aiding Haven will also resume.
    • Relationship with Haven will secede back to a 'neutral' state.

As part of this it is worth noting that both New Moonbrook and the Flamespire Clan will be treating the Scarlet Crusade encampment near the southern zeppelin crash site with caution until such a time as they discard their colours and any association with the Scarlet Crusade or they prove to both New Moonbrook and the Flamespire Clan that without a shadow of a doubt they pose no threat to either faction or others on Opej'nor.

Tactics and weaknesses of the 'Swarm' as have been recorded by Baron West of New Moonbrook are to be retained until such a time as either the [Bloodstone of Opej] is handed in for safekeeping to the Wizard's Enclave tower under the watchful eye of -all- factions of Opej'nor or until Haven put out an official warrent for the arrest of the magus known as 'Elle' on the grounds of allowing the escape of the swarm queen and for attempting to have the Baron arrested in Haven outside of their jurisdiction.

Due to the nature of current threats on Opej'nor, warriors at the Flamespire Clan and guardsmen at New Moonbrook are to not open fire on either faction's members unless attempting a forceful entry to the settlement, violating the settlement's laws or displaying clear and hostile intent. Should hostile forces attack either settlement, the other will likely come to the other's aid for mutual benefit.

Ambassadors for all three factions will remain in place for the purpose of encouraging co-operation between such at gatherings or in absence / unavailability of leadership."

All copies of the document are hand signed 'Elder Charrbone' - written in animal blood, and 'Baron Timothy West' - written in ink with a quill.

A footnote appears at the bottom of the text:

"Due to the apparent absence of The Captain in either diplomatic matters or even coming to the aid of other settlements, New Moonbrook officially recognizes Matron Mel as defacto leader of Haven"

  23. An amendment has been noted to the pact and spreads like wildfire through Grom'Goshar, New Moonbrook and word even reaches Haven.

    • Following talks between Baron West of New Moonbrook, Tsolvia of the Flamespire Clan and Matron Mel of Haven, the following individuals are to be considered diplomats to / from the following settlements.
    1. Diplomat Ascor Holt - Diplomat from New Moonbrook to Haven
    2. Diplomat Tsolvia - Diplomat from the Flamespire Clan to Haven
    3. Diplomat Montague - Diplomat from Haven to New Moonbrook and the Flamespire Clan

Insofar as the pact is concerned, Diplomat Montague is to be afforded the same welcome and guest-like statuses and comforts as is afforded to the respective diplomats of New Moonbrook and the Flamespire Clan, he is not to be harmed and will be allowed entry to the aforementioned settlements insofar is reasonable and will be offered protection by the aforementioned settlements

  24. New Moonbrook grows day by day!

At the moment the tavern is taking a slight backlog in the final finishing touches (mainly some wooden parts to the top floor & decor) in order to focus heavily on defences:

The Garrison is approx 15-20% complete with the initial laying out of the -first- settlement wall being constructed (a later palisade wall will be added to protect exterior assets)

If anyone is interested in joining do note that as well as having a free tent space within the settlement there is also the option to get an additional building made for your own use based on your character.

Are you a diplomat? An embassy will be constructed.

A mage? Plans for a mage tower will be scrawled up.

Mortar Crew Duo? A black powder store will be built.

If you are interested in making a character for the guild, just drop Timothy West (Timothy in-game) a message to discuss any ideas for what you want to make!
