It had been some time since Grom'goshar had ascended the New-Blood Ragara to the position of Scout. Now, with many more wolves joining the pack, many sought to prove themselves in the eyes of the Horde and the Warleader. It would now be time for more pups to ascend, due to their bravery and determination to ensure the best interests of the Horde and Grom'goshar. Zorku, Kha'id and Kathrom would be henceforth called by the Warleader, to await a ceremony and Blood Oath in order to ascend from the rank of New-Blood, to a more suitable position.

All denizens of Grom'thar would be requested to attend this celebration, and to support their brothers in their triumphs. The ceremony would take place on the last day of the week at nightfall, around the campfires of Grom'thar. It would be here that they would be reborn, in blood and iron.

This is an announcement for the promotions of Zorku, Kha'id and Kathrom, for their work and dedication to the guild! The event will take place at Grom'thar on Sunday 29th at 9PM ST!

Through trial, tribulation and turmoil the Orcs, Tauren, Trolls, Elves and even the Forsaken of Grom'Goshar have stood tall against adversity and all the threats that Opej'Nor has come to throw at them. As the moons rise and fall to herald a month passing, Bloodfury's advisor Gruk Charrbone has called for a great feast to be held on the thursday of this week to celebrate a month since the Grom'Goshar warband formed.

A feast where all races of the Horde are invited to drink, eat and be merry in a land where there is little to be merry for except for survival against the elements!

Food will be devoured in abundance, wine and grog shall flow like rivers as the warriors best each other in friendly wrestling matches observed and refereed by the just Blood Paladins, the hunters compete to see who is the best shot and the warlocks and magi conjour magics to dazzle and impress those attending. Whilst all this is going on Gruk and the other shamans shall be telling stories and whispering tales with compelling and apt morals for the New-Bloods to learn from and for visitors to recall their ties to the Horde.

This is an announcement for a medium-scale social event that we are simply referring to as the 'Feast of Survival'. This will likely be a monthly occurrence starting on Thursday this week at around 9pm server-time. The event will involve anything non-combat and non-political. Politics are left at the door for this one and the only fighting to be had will be friendly 'banter' and duels demonstrating skill and honor.

It will be stressed that this is a HORDE only event. Non Grom-Goshar Horde races are allowed to attend however Alliance / Neutral races will be turned away (Pandarean disallowed, Goblins allowed for clarification)

Folks are welcome to arrange their own form of celebration at the feast, those who are skilled in making crazy GHI items to wow and stupify are implored to visit, folks are even welcome to attend on Horde character 'throwaways'

If any Keepers wish to pop along on a Horde NPC to do some conjuring tricks etc with GM commands they are more than welcome, let us know and we'll clear a space for you to perform!

Time has passed since the latest collection of New-Bloods had ascended! Grom'Goshar has been hard at work, expanding Grom'Thar and fighting off foes that threaten the existence of the Horde! Observing the work of his pack, the Warleader has decided to allow a select few to ascend to other ranks that they are worthy of. A number of names would be called out from around the camp with the announcement: Sova, Rok'thul and Fiddle would henceforth be called by the Warleader. This particular time, their ascension would take place during the Feast of Survival, an event postponed due to the fight against Fzhuzhem.

Additionally, two more names would be called, but their purposes were not particularly enclosed. Kha'id and Morkash would be called to answer to the Warleader on the evening of the ceremony during the Feast, for an announcement of sorts which was not enclosed to anyone else. As usual, all denizens of Grom'Thar would be expected to attend this celebration, and would take place on the second to last night of the week.

This is to announce the Feast of Survival event which also will include some nifty promotions and praises Icly! It will take place on Saturday 18th of August at 8 PM ST! All Grom'Goshar members and Horde individuals are welcome to partake in the Feast of Survival!

Finally the Feast of Survival had taken place within the settlement of Grom'Thar, with the Warleader calling upon all of those who have endured alongside him. Speeches were made to commemorate to efforts made by many in the founding of Grom'Thar and the survival of their people, and the remembrance of the fallen. After some feasting and drinking, there were songs sung vigorously in the midnight flames, with many among the participants dancing joyously alongside the rhythm of the music and song. In the end, stories would be sung around the campfire, each tale varying from the individuals culture and past, enlightening all and teaching them important values and lessons of the past.

In the conclusion of the feast, came the announcements of the ascended New-Bloods. Sova Traildrifter, Sookie Stackhouse and Rok'thul, Son of Morg'thul, would arise. Each of them taking their Blood Oaths to the Warleader and Grom'Goshar, they would arise as fully fledged Scouts and Mystics of the Horde. However, there were two special announcements to be made. Kha'id would ascend to the role of Packleader, and assume the rank of Stone Guard. From this day henceforth, he would go by the name "Lak'tush", meaning Suffering in Orcish. Rok'thul was tasked with following the path of the Beastmaster, with the Warleader seeking to gain the wild beasts on their side for the battles to come.

And with that, the Feast of Survival ended. However, this would be the start of many celebrations and gatherings to come, that was for certain.

Sookie, Sova and Rok'thul have now ascended to the ranks of Scout and Mystic! Kha'id has now become a Packleader! In addition, Rok'Thul will be following a journey to become a fully fledged Beastmaster. I thank everyone who partook in last nights event, and feedback is welcome!

Atop the highest peak of Opej'Nor, where Grom'Thar was situated, the settlement would be bustling with activity with recent times. After recent events saw them with enemies on all sides, the Horde has since erupted in what appears to be an increased level of preparation. The sound of hammers thundering against steel and anvils would emit from the peak, amidst the sound of construction work being carried out by peons. Walls and defenses would begin to be raised gradually, ore and timber mined and cut down to fuel the machine that was the Horde. Torches and braziers would glow brightly in the midnight sky, showing Grom'Thar as a beacon of superiority and defiance to the rest of the Isle.

Echoes of the past would call from when Bloodfury had first landed on Opej'nor, with a vision to unite the Horde being seen as folly. That time would be a far-cry compared to the current state of the Horde, growing in strength, number and power. They would now be a reason to be feared on Opej'nor, and given the recent events, one could only ponder what the Horde was planning, and what they were preparing to carry out.

Few, if any, can truly say where he went. Some rumors say he grew mournful over the betrayal of those in Grom'Goshar who chose to side with the Twilight's Hammer.

Others say thoughts of his family drove him to a suicidal grief.

Others say he simply wandered off into the jungles of Opej with no provisions, allowing nature to claim him.

A token funerary urn can be found upon the altar of the dead in Grom'Thar bearing Orcish runes on it in animal blood detailing Bloodfury's legacy in the Doldrums, though many would note it is empty.

Regardless of how he died or where he went, Grom'Goshar was leaderless.

The pyremaster and Bloodfury's close advisor Gruk Charrbone stood before the refugees and those gathered in Grom'Goshar

"Many of you may be wondering where Bloodfury is or when he will come back... you have grown too reliant on one leader to take you by the hand. You are not sheep: you are wolves!

Bloodfury may come back, or he may be scattered to the four winds... but he is not Grom'Goshar, -YOU- are Grom'Goshar: Trolls, Orcs, Shu'Halo, Forsaken, Blood Elves and Goblins. He may have gone but his legacy shall live on in you!

In the coming weeks there shall be three trials for those who would stand to lead Grom'Goshar and to unite the Horde under one banner and family, in honor of his name these shall be named 'The Trials of Bloodfury', though be aware that these trials are not for the weak and faint ... and do not simply mistake weakness for physical frailty as there are tests in these trials that will test your will as a leader as well as your ability to swing an axe."

He pauses for a moment, the gathered crowd of Grunts, Rogues, Mystics, Hunters and refugees give him their full attention, he unveils a large wooden board bearing a blood red painting of a hand holding an axe

The Trial of Strength:

The trial of strength will be a test of physical endurance and combat  prowess. Any fool who mistakes this for a Mak'Gora and tries to treat it as such will be shamed eternally for their stupidity.

Humans would call this a 'tournament', it is a bout of honor to see a warleader lead by example in the battlefield as such those engaging in this trial are able to use any weapon or armour they have at their disposal, though it is -NOT- a fight to the death and honorable sincerity will be noted in these fights.

When all the candidates for warleader have been chosen, a time will be announced and I shall decide who shall fight who.

Do however take into consideration that even the most valiant fighter who 'wins' the Trial of Strength may not nessecarrily become Warleader."

He moves over to another wooden board in front of the crowd, removing the leather hide covering it to reveal a red painted open hand with a ball of flame hovering above the palm.

The Trial of Will:

The trial of will is a test of your mental will and your devotion to Grom'Goshar and the elements. Do not simply think you can fool the elements when it comes to this trial for they will look deep into your soul for any sign of deception. This trial involves making a public sacrifice to the elements of something personal to you, it can be anything you can think of but consider that someone who sings a song and performs a ritual for the elements may recieve more favour than one who simply dumps a sack of silver at their feet.

The candidate for warleader must receive a blessing from the elements of water, earth and wind in order to prove that they are worthy."

He moves to the final wooden board in the centre, dramatically unveiling the red painting of the profile of an Orc's head announcing something in profile

The Trial of Wit:

"Devotion to the elements and a strong sword-arm are not the only traits of leadership... charisma and the ability to invoke pride in your followers is equally important. The candidate with a powerful swing with an axe and the blessing of the elementals may fall short at performing a rousing speech to inspire the others in Grom'Goshar.

The Trial of Wit is a simple one, the one who truely gets the crowd at Grom'Goshar shouting and yelling in support of the candidate is the one who succeeds.

But keep in mind, not only will the crowd consist of refugees and others but it will also have your peers and subordinates in Grom'Goshar adding to the noise!"

The crowd murmers, some seem interested at the notion of having an influence and say in who becomes the next warleader

"Know that whomsoever becomes warleader, they shall have me as their advisor to guide them and offer council on important matters, you shall not be alone and you will have your followers to aid you in the times to come, call upon the strengths of all those who reside in Grom'Thar.

As soon as three candidates for 'Warleader' have given me their names, I shall announce the time when no more candidates may put their names forward.

Then the trials shall commence"

A current list of the candidates for 'Warleader' go up on the noticeboard:

Stone Guard Ragara Irontooth

Lohn'Oshu Zorku

((OOC:

These three trials are as follows:

Trial of Strength - An elimination styled tournament using the RPG combat system to be ran over a number of days (depending on time availability of combatants)

Trial of Will - A trial whereby the elements (puppeted by GM's) may offer quests or other such tasks for candidates to recieve their boon, a sacrifice may be accepted depending on the elemental's  mood. There are three to appease: The Great Quarun (Earth), The unnamed water elemental of Grom'Thar (water) and the air elementals of Mount Opej (Air).

Trial of Wit - Candidates will gather before a partial GM puppeted crowd and basically come up with their most rousing speech. Members of Grom'Goshar and those on friendly / accepted terms to enter Grom'Goshar may join the crowd and boo / cheer appropriately.

Any questions don't hesitate to PM me!))
