    Server Toxicity

Man, if you had any misconception that Varen was the quiet innocent one, then you have not seen him act during/before the opening stages of the server. Guess it's an eye-opening week, this one.

    Saving face

@Locket While I thoroughly understand why you may see this, as some would say, crusade as wholly unecessary and unjistified, at the end of the day you must understand that the behaviour shown by Elle multiple times now and in the past is extremely damaging in the long run. These are the people who are not at all fit for their position and everyone has, is, or will suffer for it if it gets to be too much. I wanted to post a screenshot down here but I can't do that from a phone. Therefore, I must direct you to the recently locked topic in Off-topic by Lankgjaer titled 'Quitting'. Read what Zallah had to say.

    Saving face

To preface this, I will answer a question those in Staff's highest positions might ask; Why do I care? Well, let's face it. This server, sadly, is somewhat of a central point for the old Prologue/Legacy/Wake community and I'd hate to see it torn down by one toxic brony. Or whatever they run as nowadays. I believe it has become quite obvious, over the last week(s) what the issue is. "It's my way, or the highway." as every third goblin NPC says. I believe that this phylosophy is really damaging, though not as damaging as some other aspect. The elephant in the room - Elle. Or Dawnforge. You know, same thing. As someone who is a first-hand witness to Elle's destructive, narcissistic and nepotistic tendencies, I have one piece of advice to give - cut out the tumor. The main arguments against the removal I have seen were, and I paraphrase: 1. "Who would step up to be head keeper?" - litteraly anyone with common decency and maturity would be better than Elle even if they had to get used to the role first. 2. "Elle has the guts to answer all the questions." - answering questions with 'If you don't like it, leave' is not answering questions. That's just being idiotic and stupidly defensive. You risk losing far more by keeping Elle in, letting him get more secure and spread out his influence as he removes anyone competent enough to oppose him. (And believe me, his storyline ideas are a pain. Did I mention he once nepotised himself into some Paladin on Death Knight action?) Take action before it's not too late.

    [Issue] Haven Troop Deployment

I should just note that it's pretty well known that Dawnforge (Elle) has always favored Argent Dawn/Crusade in roleplay scenarios. Not only that, but, from personal experience (which I know you will take with a handful of salt (as opposed to just a grain), V) he is incredibly nepotistic towards his friends and favorites. It's no wonder, really, that this issue has arisen.

    [Announcement] McDankus' Fiasco

Quite seems like it's one more of those power trip things if you're right, to be honest. I give the benefit of the doubt. Besides, even if it was more than him saying a few bad words, it doesn't seem like any of that was outlined in the reasoning for his ban, and therefore, we can't really work with what wasn't given to us. That'd be even worse, since it would mean that the 'staff team' lied to their community in a public annoucement.

    [Announcement] McDankus' Fiasco

'Sup boys, your favorite troll over here. As a preface to this post, no matter how long it might be, I'd like to note that I have no prefference towards either party as I've, naturally, argued with both over my course of RP. Might I just point out the fact that someone with the rank of 'HEAD Keeper' has not at all suffered any reprimand from their higher-ups for blowing off a player with "If you don't like it, there's an uninstall button."? I don't know guys, but blowing that statement (from a HEAD Keeper, might I remind) off as a 'classic catchphrase' and then declaring a perma (yes, it's a 3 month now) ban upon the person who responded practically in very much the same tone (reminder: passive agressive remarks are still agressive) seems pretty unfair. The way I see it, this whole 'power coming to someone's head' is a pretty Dawnforge move and it's no wonder that this has become an issue. I'd recommend really putting this situation under closer scrutiny and taking a look at that town. Not only is a 3 months ban for something so small way too much, but it feels like an attempt to hush up any further inquiry into this situation with the hypothetical mushroom cloud of a ban hanging over the head of anyone who would dare to question it. I dunno, guys, but I wouldn't really want to have a guy who blows someone off in a rather passive-agressive manner on my staff team, seems like a bad image and all. But I guess this whole 'My way or the high way' attitude doesn't belong to Dawnforge only.

    BFA didn't kill me

You know what I like? Names. I feel that it's only proper of me to respond to this thread simply because of the fact you made me an avatar back in 2015 for a measly 25 silver or whatever it was. And you know what? It stuck. Anyways, where was I? Oh yes. There is, beyond the shadow of a doubt, blatant favoritism on Shores. One specific island is getting at least twice the amount of attention than the other people, and this is the Isle of Menhirs, while we are forced to sit in Eggtown and gather resources (a ridiculous amount of resources) to build one boat that will probably get sunk in the first event because why not. The dodgy, uncertain responses when we questioned why a player suddenly gets to be a ghost only cemented my opinion on this. If Shores had a worthy competitor, it would probably not be as half popular as it is - because let's face it, there really isn't much to pay attention to except that one number - the statistic that goes from 0 to 100 and is tagged as 'Productivity'. So yeah, if the Eu Keeper situation is not resolved (also just call them staff for g*d's sakes), shores is probably sinking the same way all those ships we supposedly arrived on to the Doldrums did. Farewell until next time, ya dork. Oh, and not even Sitra has that one.
  8. "Brothers and Sisters! The time has come! Soon, The Black Scrouge will arise from the depths of Azeroth and usher in the begining of our grand paradise! His coming will herald the dominion of our benevolent masters. His flame will wash the world clean of the maggots which sin and destroy that which belongs to our masters by right! I have heard their voices, my body is their conduit, and to you, I utter their word. Sons and Daughters of the Old Ones, Devout Men and Women of the Hand, Together we shall embark upon a long journey, and convert many more to our cause!" These were the words uttered by the Conduit, the men and women within the room cheered as they set off for their task. With their captured ship, they sailed the seas of Azeroth in their pursuit to gather a strong host and destroy the creations of those that would have the audacity to defy their masters. Yet, such would not come to fruition so soon. As they sailed, passing by the maelstrom, they were struck by a vicious storm. With only a few spare moments to act, the cultists could not avoid their fate. However, not all was lost. Almost as if it was the invisible hand of the one beneath the seas, miraculously, most of them washed up on a strange, mysterious island. After a moment of silence, the conduit spoke to them once more. "It is clear now. This is where we are to begin our advance Disperse, find whoever lives here. This island shall be ours." "We will spread amongst the maggots. We will elevate and enlighten those worthy. We will sacrifice those who are doomed to sin. We will rebuild these islands in the image of our benevolent gods. We will ascend beyond mortalhood, and shed these shells of flesh and bone." 1. Spread influence over the entire isles 2. Establish contact with other cultists and 'recruit' new members 3. Incite war between the many factions of the Doldrums 4. Establish a more prominent base for the followers of the Old Ones 5. Take over the Doldrums 6. Break out "It is through the Conduit that the word of the Old Ones shall be spread. It is the Inquisitors who shall ensure his word is heard amongst the flock. Should they not be respected, it is the might of the Willbringers that will ensure there is only one truth... ...And that the Flock follows, of course." The Conduit - A leadership position, the Conduit is said to receive clear whispers of the old ones that show them what the Hand of Unravelling is meant to do. The Inquisitor - Second to only the Conduit, the Inquisitors are there to ensure that people know the orders of the Conduit and understand them perfectly. The Willbringer - The Willbringers act as the punishment of the Old Ones for cultists who are not devout enough and do not follow their orders. They are usually those that kill the unworthy. The Flock - Anyone asides the three specific ranks that have been listed above is a part of the flock. A general body of agents, simple cultists or doomsayers. Regardless of their role, everyone is sworn to secrecy. It is said that whoever speaks of the Hand of Unravelling before anyone else except for fellow cultists shall be punished into an eternity of torture by the Old Ones. "Step forward, initiate. Drink from the vial, and hear them call out to you. You are the child of the benevolent Gods, Give in to your fate." The recruitment is, of course, drastically different than it is in any other group. There are a few ways to join the group. The first members are, of course, those that came with the Hand initially. To join the group, PM me this: Character Name: Character Race: Character Class: Desired Rank: Roleplay Experience: Time spent in the Doldrums: Current Guild (IF ANY): How and Why they joined the Twilight's Hammer: However, as it stands, one of the goals of the group is to convert new members. This can be done in many ways. Subtle brainwashing, capture, etc. So yeaaah.

    [Guild Draft] Cult of Jani

Actually. Cancel my pledge, I think I've found a better suited role for my character! (Sowwy)
  10. Glory to the Old Ones. Let their greatness wash away all the sinners, Let their glory burn all the maggots within the cesspits of Azeroth. The Hour of Twilight nears.

    Why?

Well, I'm a person and this system of introduction whitelisting is legitimately an annoying redundant thing. Yes, I'm also a person who plays games, but I'm moreso a person who does other IRL activities nowadays. I don't even remember how I found you but for some reason I did, like that one time I had a dream about agreeing with someone about a certain topic and then finding out we had agreed on it without even talking about it. Yeah, that happened. Anything that isn't boring and too PC. (Politically Correct. This is Warcraft, not Tumblr.) Aside from Corruption of Champions (j o k i n g) I also play games in my Steam Library. That's a wide section, I know, but I don't really want to put down everything that I play here. Idk, like from Mount and Blade to Crash Bandicoot 3 I guess. Less Varen moderation, more non-Varen moderation. I'm sorry, buddy. Nah, I don't know, it's not that I have any expectations because as the past has shown, you're better off not expecting anything. The Staff code of conduct is my favorite because that way I can keep an eye on you guys. I preffer a poem... There once was a man named Jake, He hoped to face a great red drake. Unfortunately for our little bloke, The dragon won and his back broke. There you go! I do have a question. Nay, I have two. Why is this necessary? Who brought this up???
