Do you mind if I move this to journals instead? The Sciptorium is for DM work.

The Archaeological Society of the Doldrums
Nostra posted a topic in Interest Checks and Guild Drafts
The society is a cooperative of equal partners interested in the archaeological sites that dot the islands of the Doldrums. As such there is no leader though a bi-monthly vote is taken to choose a treasurer and a trustee who will represent the society and handle outside business on behalf of the members. The group does not discriminate against new members based on race or creed, though does maintain the right to bar individuals from entry should they be judged unfitting to the society's high standards. The society presents itself at all times as an honourable and ethical group whose purpose it is to catalogue, take inventory of and restore artefacts of history. The truth however is that the group is opportunistic, greedy and dedicated to the securing of artefacts and wealth for its members. Their interest is not so much in preserving history as it is using it for their own gain. They brand themselves an exclusive group and hope to establish themselves as the premier source of prestige and class in the Doldrums. The society invites archaeologists, sorcerers and people with specialised knowledge as well as people adept at acquiring valuable artefacts from ruins and elsewhere. Ranks: Trustee - Current elected representative. Treasurer - Banker, trader. Founder - A prestigious title for the founding members. Delver - Society members. Armiger - Hired hand. Goals: Hold a founding meeting to elect the first trustee and treasurer. Set rules for the Society, discuss initial target site. Secure funding and equipment. Establish a camp with easy access to ruins worth investigating. Delve into the ruins, secure artifacts and items that bring money, prestige or power to the society. Build a gentleman's club and museum to host the society, their friends and valuables. -

Welcome! Making a character is pretty easy, you just go to the character screen as usual, then pick warriors class. Once in game there is a little tutorial that will teach you the basics of the RPG we use as well as let you pick class, attributes and abilities. Hotspots right now seem to be Eastern Opej'nor where there are three guilds centred, and Isle of Menhirs where there is one guild active. Silvereye is the safe island, and people often pass through there. The discord is often active so feel free to ask around there too.

What you want to make is simply more vegetation, more animals, right? No buildings or anything else?
-
Consider also investing resources into this project, productivity, materials, etc

A greybeard orc has been seen on the Silvereye docks asking about his daughter, she was due back from a hunting trip a few days ago. He is worried and were harassing travellers until the Silverscale workers forced him to leave. If you ask around, you might find him. (Poke on Discord for setup)

The Archaeological Society of the Doldrums

Interest check, something I thought could be fun to play. -
I am horrified right now. 🙈

I really enjoyed the dice game in Witcher 1/2 (much more than the crummy card game, ugh) and I used to make GHI items that allowed you to play it simply. Was a lot of fun, I might try to recreate them.

Hey, Jake. Take a good look, a real good look. Welcome. ☺️

It being an Ebon Blade guild does make it very niche, but it is an interesting concept. My character could probably fit in as a bit of an outsider type, he's not Ebon but I think he could work with/for them. Otherwise if you want to collaborate on something different let me now! ☺️

A bit sparse, technically we'd need to see a little bit more of background of the guild, a rank structure, or if everyone is an equal member state that, and a last pledge to bring you up to 6.

Become a Dungeon Master! Being a Dungeon Master is not a full-time job, instead you become one for the duration of a planned event or storyline. Anyone is welcome to try their hand and we encourage you to give it a shot at least once. As a DM you will have all the in-game permissions necessary to host RP sessions, be it a dungeon crawl or a religious rite. Your 'tenure' as a DM will last as long as you need it to, if you need a week or two to prepare for an event, you will have that time and enough to clean up afterwards. Anyone who wishes to host a storyline needs to go through this process, be they a member of staff or a player. If you wish to host an event or storyline you will need to make an outline of what it is you wish to do, if you like you can even do it with a friend or two and share the workload. Think of this as the preparation a DM does before a Pen&Paper session. When you have your outline you post it to the Scriptorium forum, don't worry only you and the Council can see your post, and unless there is any clashes with other events or lore you will be given access to a Dungeon Master account. If there are any issues with the outline we'll help you sort it out. A few examples of outlines can be found in the post below but do not be afraid to innovate and make your own template, they do not need to be elaborate, it is only there to give us an idea of what you are doing and if you were to unexpectedly disappear (accidents happen. . .) we can carry on based on that information. Outline Examples: Big Storyline: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tAbyxfaNEnJd-YIE8oYQBoe-EmMWpJMsfaT8D24lWOg/edit?usp=drivesdk Dungeon Crawl: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jNrq2DZFM95aHPXxumWqMkQY1S2WSVDKk_IWkVnFYzw/edit?usp=drivesdk

Oh hello there! Welcome. I like Trolls the most, they have that dark and mysterious, horror-inspiring thing going for them with cannibalism, tribes, voodoo and rituals atop ziggurats.
